When I was a teenager (a long time ago) I fell in love with the fantasy world of Brian Froud. During a resonate session with Lina struck a pose that reminded me of those days. I set out to do a fairy sitting on a mushroom in a mysterious forest. This is what I came up with. Hope you like it.
The painting is done in watercolor on Kilimanjaro 640gsm archival paper.
I have great interest in figure drawing. I started studying the art in 1982 while I was studying at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende. The body is a pure expression of our humanity. We all can relate to the grace and beauty of the human figure and at the same time use the body to express angst and strife. As human we are in this condition together and my goal to express that in my art.
