Description
This painting was done from a dual session with Marianna and her partner. The session was inspired by Egon Scheile but I thought of Shakespeare and his tragedy Romeo and Juliet.
The painting is done in watercolor on Kilimanjaro 640gsm archival paper.
I have great interest in figure drawing. I started studying the art in 1982 while I was studying at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende. The body is a pure expression of our humanity. We all can relate to the grace and beauty of the human figure and at the same time use the body to express angst and strife. As human we are in this condition together and my goal to express that in my art.
